I remember I used to love completing puzzles. Thinking about the process of it, I realised that there's a good reason to the saying "opposites attract". It's just like 2 puzzle pieces. The edges r opposites... But tt's how they r able to complement each other n fit perfectly, forming a strong bond...
Ok anyways, just a random thought. Today... Happy bday again Diana! Really feels like yesterday that we just celebrated your 21st. Haha... Celebrated Diana's bday on 3rd Jan, after my lesson on Monday. (Diana, I shall reveal what we were doing before u came)
Met up with Yan Yin before Diana! Was thinking of shopping around to see if there's anything we can buy, but then realised that at this age, there isn't really much to buy! Unless we happen to know something she wants and can afford it. Haha... So we ended up just making her a card and a "kiss voucher". Here, Yan Yin tried imprinting her lips on the piece of paper, but failed. Doesn't look nice! So we decided to just write down what Diana may claim rather than print a real one, lest she freaks out. Haha!
So here is the card. Diana looks really happy! Hohoho... She must be laughing at the funny way that we write the card! As if Yan Yin and I are having a conversation with her. Or maybe she's feeling amused at how she can't decipher what Yan Yin is writing? That's quite possible. Haha! Yan Yin, go back and train your writing to get your high distinctions ;)
Here we are at NewYorkNewYork :) the waiter came to offer us cotton candy, but only I raised my hand to take one. Too bad for the both of u! Yummy~~ Hope u enjoyed your bday meal, Diana!
Back to today, mum and I picked up Aunty Doreen and Yan Rui at Kovan mrt station. We went to pay respects to my cousin at a church located there, where his ashes are placed... For 11 years already. What feelings did I experience when I was there? Hmm... Not sure. I felt like I wanted to talk to him? To tell him what I've been up to... Ask him what's happening at his side? I know I'd never get an answer, but... I guess much as people often talk about reciprocity, sometimes it just doesn't matter anymore. 也许是一种自我安慰的方式吧。 *shrugs* But in the end, I just looked at his photo when I was there, listening to my mum's occasional sighs.
After helping Samuel clean his photo and beautify his environment with flowers, we went for lunch at a hawker centre beside Heartland Mall. Then I sent Aunty Doreen home before going to school with Yan Rui. After lesson, Yan Rui and I went for dinner.
Tried Nando's again. It's so famous that I don't believe myself for thinking it didn't taste very nice when I tried it some time ago with my SMU schoolmate. This time I tried another dish, which is supposedly the specialty I think. Moreover, it's chicken thigh, give them chance to score u know? But I was still disappointed. The first piece tasted quite good, the second piece was alright, then by the time I reached the third piece, I thought we should've went to eat McDonald's instead. For that price, it really isn't worth. I shall not go back again unless I have to due to other circumstances. Nevertheless, still enjoyed dinner! After all, it's the company that counts :) |
